Research demonstrated that adults between the age of 30 and 40 aren't moving enough every day. After interviewing multiple people from our target group, we found out that they simply didn't have the time due to duties. Then we realized that by combining duties and movement, people can still get a healthy amount of movement every day. Which brought us to the concept of: combining movement and work together.
Because our target group spends the most time at work, by doing their daily movement at work, they can actually save time. Not to mention, that cycling is the most known movement in The Netherlands. That's why we decided to use the same cycle movement in Pedl. This way people don't have to make time for moving, because we bring movement to them.
Pedl encourages people to cycle by offering options to set goals, track your stats and compete with colleagues from your business (branch) or even other company's. This gamification aspect of Pedl is interesting, because people get the chance to engage with other colleagues that they may have never spoken to.
